A preservation project of Maestro Premasiri Khemadasa’s work will be launched on Jan 25th, on Maestro’s 77th birthday. The project’s scope is extensive, ranging from his earliest music – ‘Sarala gee’, the simple songs he recorded for Radio Ceylon to his film music and his complex Opera and Choral works. It will also include music notation, audio and video documents, correspondence, and interviews with the Maestro etc… The preservation project will be undertaken by the very capable Thundersmoke Entertainment Inc. At the end of the project, all the work will be accessible to the public on a virtual gallery. Watch this space… more to come
